Unquestionably the best conservatory ladder
system on the market! The LSD system consists
of a two section 6-rung leaning ladder which
complies with BS-EN131.
It has levellers fitted to both stiles to
cater for uneven ground and provide 125mm
of adjustment in increments of 3mm.
Large swivel feet spread the load on soft
ground and rung locks keep the ladder sections
together in transport. At the top a 1.1 metre
wide spreader bar with detachable ends
provides massive stability. The detachable
ends store away neatly into threaded inserts
on the inside face of the ladder stiles.
The bar itself folds down between the stiles
and when in use is locked into one of four
possible positions by a shaft locking pin.
The leaning ladder is adjustable in length
between 1.9m and 2.9m. To attach the ladder
to the conservatory glass a 120mm diameter
rubber suction cup is provided with a 2m
length of webbing and a rung hook.
Adjustment to tighten the strap is achieved
by means of a ’Cam–lock’.
At the top of the leaning ladder, on each side
of the spreader bar mounting, is a 50mm roller
onto which the 480mm roof ladder section is
rested and then pushed up onto the roof of
the conservatory.
The roof ladder is 1.95m in length with a 1¼"
handrail on both sides. It has a 1.1 metre long
rubber covered spreader bar with detachable ends which are stored in
the same way as those on the leaning ladder.
This section of ladder locks onto the top rung
of the leaning ladder by means of a rung
’saddle’, a spinner and two thumbscrews.
The system can be used on roof angles from 5
to 45 degrees. It is extremely compact when
stored and can be assembled in seconds.
